Anyone can write an ebook . . .following some simple guidelines and relying on their own expertise and experience.As a business entrepreneur you are already an expert in a particular field or discipline. Take what you know and write on the subject. Give value to your prospects and clients. Why? Because this is an excellent marketing strategy to: • Brand identify yourself • Promote your products • Present your services • Introduce your business opportunity • Pre-sell your prospect
Create ValueWhen you create and provide value on your website, you also build a relationship with people who land on your site (and if you haven't learned the power of your own personal customized website you are missing out on the most important tool in your marketing toolbox!). Ebooks are a huge success in collateral marketing. Collateral marketing may include DVDs, videos, audios, product samples, and complimentary consultations. Consider how you will use the ebook. It can be written to make an additional source of income, to provide to others for free to have them opt-in to your email list, as a business lead generation, and as an introduction to bigger ticket items. I invited seven other members of my own downline to co-author the ebook, How to Build Your MLM Business: The Complete Step-by-Step Guide to Inter-Network Marketing and the project took many months to complete. We were like babes in the woods learning all the steps necessary on how to make an ebook. We learned how to create the ebook graphics, determine where to find a vendor and educate ourselves on how to launch it properly.
Easy Method for How to Write an EbookI've learned tons from that ebook project and as a result was invited to be talk about my experiences on The Works Team live Webinar to help other entrepreneurs in the steps to develop and write an ebook. I then discovered an even easier way to make very efficient use of my time. In preparing for my presentation on how to make an ebook, I created a Power Point presentation through Microsoft Office 2007 Professional. This software allowed me to write my dialog underneath each screen shot so that I could be better prepared to speak and follow my presentation of slides. Then all I had to do, once my Power Point presentation was completed was to select Publish and I had a full blown ebook on "how to make an ebook." In this software, there is a link to automatically set up the table of contents based on the Power Point screen shots I had prepared. It was SO EASY! An investment of about 25 hours of my time (I was just learning the steps, so this is realistic for a beginner) and within a few weeks I had a gift that I could provide others through my site, in the form of my 43-page ebook, The Development and Marketing of an Ebook. This was a very simple format to follow to write "how to ebooks." To further provide value to my site, I am able to transcribe that dialog of the presentation into an audio version too! In addition, I can record my presentation and post the video to my site (video is highly recommended on your site). All of this value just by creating content for one presentation. Writing how to ebooks is as simple as preparing a report for a class or a presentation for a meeting.
